Renaissance Center Property Mural

In a powerful display of community collaboration, the OST South Union neighborhood in Houston witnessed the creation of the Renaissance Mural, a project spearheaded by Danny Asberry El of Solel International in partnership with Williamsburg Enterprises—with Matt Kelley as a key point of contact—and the OST South Union Civic Club under Gwendolyn Fedrick; commencing on June 22, 2020. This transformative initiative honored local champions like Swatara and Tawali Olushula, Mr. Terry Garner, Hassani Sallah, and Kavanagh Nweze, integrated augmented reality features, and addressed community ideas voiced during an August 3, 2020 meeting to discuss resources for the old HEB site, solidifying its place as a historical landmark symbolizing unity, resilience, and the enduring spirit of a community dedicated to a brighter future.
